Woman Ditches Sister’s Wedding, Family Chooses Sides, Sparking Favoritism and Hostility
Welcome back ladies and gentlemen of the internet. It's never fun to feel unsupported by family members. We all have our own things, our own lives, but there are some crucial moments where it's appropriate to put aside your own things for the sake of family. Some people are better at this than others. Some people have a hard time letting go of their immediate self-interest for a greater good, to toss aside your own wants to compromise with someone else. In my opinion, compromising is one of the most beautiful things we can do for each other. It's not oppressing, it's deepening our relationships with each other. But like I said, not everyone feels like that.
This brings us to the Reddit piece. The sister who doesn't come to the wedding claims she had a panic attack to the point where she couldn't even pick up the phone to let her sister know she wasn't attending. I'm all for taking care of one's mental health, but I guess if it's this debilitating, something urgent needs to be done.
